SUMMARY

Performs maintenance, preventative, and repair services.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Follows through on all assigned work orders for maintenance and handyman repair services to completion;
  • Performs routine general building maintenance including painting, drywall, and minor electrical/plumbing repairs;
  • Performs routine and preventative maintenance service on the Agency's HVAC systems;
  • Assembles and installs program equipment as required;
  • Develops written plans and proposals for minor construction and remodeling projects as required;
  • Follows Board Policies and Procedures for obtaining bids and prices for materials, parts and supplies that are essential in the maintenance of Board properties and equipment;
  • Clears snow from parking lots, doorways, and walkways as needed;
  • Mows, trims and mulches the Agency's grounds.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Valid Ohio Driver's License, acceptable Annual BMV Check.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Must have extensive, hands-on paid job experience in the general maintenance field to include plumbing, carpentry, electrical machinery, and HVAC maintenance.

Must have a minimum of five (5) years related experience with proven work and attendance record.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or lsiten.
  • The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
